Happy Father’s Day!
I’d like to wish a happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there today, but especially to my father who I love and cherish so much.
He and my mother diligently raised five children. They now have 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. I’ve never known a harder worker than my father, who as an engineer with Burlington Northern Railroad, still found the time to build a successful farm and ranch for us to grow up on. One of my favorite memories of him is how he used to let my sisters and I climb up on his back and ride him around like a horse. It usually ended up a screaming fest as we one by one fell off and fell victim to some serious tickling by my dad. My mother usually had to jump in and save us.
Happy Fathers Day Papa! You deserve it.
